작가 소개
시간과 경험에 대해서 이야기 하고자 한다.
그것은 이 세계에 존재하는 어떠한 대상도 동정하지 않는다.
누구에게나 똑같은 방식으로 부여되지만,개개인의 탄생배경과 환경에 따라 각자 다른 형태의 유한성띄며 이 세상에 존재한다.
때문에 사람들은 한정된 시간동안 스스로의 가치를 타인과 비교하며 본인에게 주어진 시간에 대한 특별성을 부여하기를 끝없이 희망한다.
덕분에 시간이란 주체는 수많은 파생물들을 낳는 필연성을 지니게 된고, 상처,기억,사랑,성공,흔적,경험,교훈등등의 부수적 매개체를 통해
풍화되고 쌓여가면서 결을 이루고 성장한다.
이곳에 거칠고 많은 흔적을 동반한 상처투성이의 얼굴들이 있다. 그리고 그러한 생채기들은 모든 것들이 가능할 것 같았던 우리들의 유년기를 시작으로
성인으로써의 의무와 책임을 받아 들이며 옛 비전들이 현실 속에서 충돌하는 과정들을 대변한다.
한때는 반짝거리며 아름답기만 했던 것들도 언젠가는 그 의미와 빛을 잃고 점점 희미해지겠지만,
시간의 세례를 받음에 따라 또 하나의 이미지를 구축하며 저마다 다른 색조로 자신을 드러내기 시작 하듯,
의도적인 캔버스 표면의 손상과 재 구축, 혼합재료를 사용한 무질서한 율동감, 표면에서 보여지는 입체적 텍스처의 표현 방법은
사각이란 한정된 프레임 안에서 인생이란 여정을 통해 얻게 되는 흔적과 경험들을 어떻게 해석하고 재현할 것 인가하는
해묵은 질문에 대한 나의 대답일 것이다.
